Yet Another Stupid Peugeot Question
Picked up a small, obviously low end Peugeot over the weekend. It has the obligatory white paint job, stamped dropouts, heavy cottered crankset, decal head badge, and no chrome on the fork. It's like a U-08, only without the chrome, Just trying to figure out what the heck it is.
Thanks,

19" and rather worse for the wear.

I got it to sell the brakes, shifters and wing nuts primarily. Not sure what else is worth salvaging.

High or low flange hubs?? How's the seat look?? AVA, ATAX or PIVO stem??

High flange Normandy hubs, PIVO stem. The seat on it was an atrocious mattress saddle - obviously not original equipment.

High flange Normandy's and the PIVO stem are both good. Plastic or metal frame SImplex rear der?
Probably a Nervar Cottered crankset?? Worth something to someone if it's not all rusty and worn out.

Plastic Simplex rear derailleur. I think it's a Nervar crankset, but the chain guard is rather tweaked. It could be straightened out, but there is some rust too.

That sounds about right. What's the significance of the "A" vs the "U" in the model designation?
