This photographer Tim Kolln made a project of photographing bike racers just after they'd crossed the finish line and climbed off their bikes.

The segment where Bruyneel is trying to talk strategy to LA during the 2000 Amstel Gold is priceless.

That’s bike racing! I like fancy high-tech gear as much as anybody, but racing is snot on your gloves, salt on your face, lactic acid everywhere, and hurt on top of pain. Very cool series of photos.

I am thankful though, that Rasmussen kept his jersey on and zipped all the way up.

I remember this one time walking into the school gym with my bike. I thought everyone was looking at how cool I was - only to find out that I had this huge loogie mark across my face :D
