i'm really curious about the size of this frame but this guy doesnt seem to know what hes talking about. anybody have an idea what the dimensions of this frame are?

could be true. I've seen some weirdly-sized ones out there...

could be made for someone with long ass legs and a short torso.

That bike would fit me perfect.

Bridgestone never made custom bikes for anybody.The head tube indicates it's a 56cm most likely.The 53 part sounds odd so does 54.5 but 54.5 isn't out of the ordinary for Bridgestone to have used,assuming it IS a 56.as far as the fit; speakin about road bikes,I have a long torso,short legs and fit calculators put me on a 55cc frame and a 54.5 top tube.The past few years,americans are top-tube crazy,I'll admit,me too. The Japanese I can assure you are NOT,they be apt to have a shorter toptube as a matter of course(experience not oppinion)

sorry ,by the way HE states 56 center to TOP,,that equals 54.5 center to center..kinda brings it more into reality.You'll see Italian bikes measured as such,REAL Jap./designed for racing bikes too.As upposed to American recreational "boy racers".

from the variety i have seen of keirin bridgestones i'd say there are almost certainly all custom.

Arent the majority of all keirin frames custom built to suit the rider?

Where can you find these frames? Anything online? How do they compare to the entry level frames? Such as IRO/Soma/Alien?

I'll be nice and answer your question before someone rips off your head and spits down your neck.

Any NJS/Keirin racing track frame is going to be so much better simply because they were custom and hand made by a craftsman as opposed to everything else that is mass produced. Comparing a keirin frame to IRO/Soma/alien is like comparing a built by hand ferrari to a mass produced ford focus.

....however, both the Ferrari and Ford Focus will get you from point A to point B. If you are simply commuting, the Focus is fine. If you are racing, (or posing) the Ferrari is preferred.

NJS is the like Japanese cycling association or something like that(not sure of what it translates too).

Every component of a bike that is used in Keirin(track) racing in Japan must be NJS certified. In the states, NJS parts are marked up because of the "hip" value they hold here.

NJS can mean a lot to some people, such as in our little internet based fantasy world here.

I have some NJS pedals and toe clips on my Peugeot. Yes, French and Japanese parts love one another. I got them when I was at the bike shop one day and some fella threw them in the garbage. I love having two NJS parts on my conversion commuter, plus, the ladies love it too!
