wondering if they share the same geometry? if not what are some differences? i'm talking about before schwinn became a target brand. thanks in advance!

While I don't have full data on the Moabs, they should be farily similar. Homegrowns' geometry got progressively more relaxed as the years went on. Depending on which year you are looking at I may have the exact specs.

If I remember correctly, it was explained to me that the Moabs and the Homegrowns shared the same if not identical geometries. I would at least think that they would be close enough as to not cause a big problem transitioning. Are you already switching from the Moab? I've got either a 200 or 01 Moab (not sure of the year...) from before Schwinn went out. Are you not happy with yours? I've had real good luck with mine.

i didn't say i wasn't happy with my schwinn. just that i'm still getting used to today's "standard" geometries. i know the homegrown is more of a race bike, and wondering hows the geometry on that compared to my moab. i like my moab a lot, longish top tube makes for a great climber. but the 4inch travel forks these days put me up so high up front... anyway plus i heard they had the homegrown and moab had the same geometry so i was just curious. i think i may be building my moab into a singlespeed due to problems with the sram 9.0 drivetrain...

The moab and HG from 2000 And 2001 share the same geometry,
but the moab weighs a little more. The moab 1 is as close to a race bike as you can get.

Not identical, but very close.
