Just attempted to fix my bike and didn't do so. I spent over an hour with my dad trying to set up the straight cable and can't get it right. The cable hanger is a pain in the ass. I hate brakes.

your mom doesnt want you riding but your dad is helping you build your bike....

wow. you and your dad must be retarded if you cant figure out a straight cable.

04-14-07, 04:10 PM
why are you putting brakes on

FuzzyRyder
04-14-07, 04:29 PM
No kidding. its not rocket science to put a straight cable on. Did you cut the cable to the right lenght and everything? How hard is it to slide the cable into the hanger bolt and tighten it down?

FitRider 921
04-14-07, 04:43 PM
Yeah, the cable has been cut to the right length, but I don't think my dad really knows what he is doing, and I certainly don't. I think he is overcomplicating things. When it's warmer, I'll take it outside to look at it myself.

FuzzyRyder
04-14-07, 04:43 PM
How can you not know what you are doing... I dont think it gets anymore straight forward...

FitRider 921
04-14-07, 04:46 PM
I know, but for some reason, he's had problems with the cable hanger and it's causing the brakes to just not have the power they should. It should be a pretty easy fix. It's hard to work on things when it's still 30-40 degrees outside.

My dad tends to do that too sometimes lol.

Now my bike has been moved to the garage with two corvettes... not a good idea to do much in there.

sell one of the vettes and buy a tuner?

FitRider 921
04-14-07, 05:31 PM
Not mine to sell. The vettes in the garage are my dad's pride and joy. He restored them himself.

gnr rocker

carve your name in them, then post pictars

FitRider 921

Possibly.
EDIT: They are in a dimly lit garage, so I don't think the pictures will turn out so well.

Your father can restore a classic car, but can't figure out how to mount brake cable on a bike frame? I wouldn't want to ride in his car if that's the case.

I wouldn't have used that color, hot vettes though

FitRider 921
04-14-07, 07:11 PM
No, the color actually looks really nice. The pictures didn't come out so well because of the lighting.

Those 1970's Vettes were dogs, the second one a '72?

The first one looks like a 69 maybe 70 stingray, fricken sweet. You get one of those when you get your license?

FitRider 921

pull them outside?
Too many cars in the driveway? Don't know where all the keys are? It's dark outside? My ghetto neighbors are having a party and doing lots of drugs and drinking alcohol excessively?
You get one of those when you get your license?
Not quite first car material...

Your right, more like second car. Just crash your first within a week and you will be golden :)

FitRider 921
04-14-07, 08:07 PM
Almost... besides insurance going even farther up through the roof and getting all keys taken away from me and being strapped down inside my house.

Oh yeah? Well I get my bike on Wednesday. And my dads friend came over today, he is a woodworker he has built some of our tables and stuff. All of the sudden this crazy idea popped into my head. So I just said it "hey Phil (thats his name) will you help me build a half pipe or quarter pipe or something like that this summer or late spring?" He said he would, he also said that he would pay for it if I finished school before july 15th. I can pick out whatever wood I want and have him build whatever I want. What should I get?

gnr rocker
04-14-07, 08:12 PM
get a civic

tmowery18

get a civic

Do you know anything about any kind of cars? Don't get a civic unless you want some good gas mileage.

gnr rocker
04-14-07, 08:23 PM
do i know any thing about cars? hmmmm lets see

tmowery18
04-14-07, 08:32 PM
Just because you have some doesn't mean you know anything. You didn't answer my question. Why would you recommend a civic if you knew what you were talking about? Unless your some guy that saw fast and the furios and saw a civic in it so you think they are the best cars ever and you think they can drift.

FitRider 921
04-14-07, 08:34 PM
gnr, the diesel does not look like the diesel I know.
