Giant bikes saddle breakage

Hi I have a 2006 Giant OCR3.

Within 3 months of purchase the Giant "Carbon Gel" saddle broke. The "plastic like" stiffener inside the saddle simply snapped.

The place of purchase replaced it free of charge, but today (9 months later) I was having a ride and went over a bump in the road, and bang - the saddle broke again. Same place, same way. I am only 82 kg, so it seems there is a problem with the saddles.

Has this happened to anyone else? Comments appreciated on Giant saddles in general.

Never happened to me, cause I only ride with Brooks saddles. And never will ride with anything else.

I think you need to try a different saddle. At 82kg I'm surprised that you can break saddles like that and would put it down to a weakness in the saddle design rather than you, assuming you were 'just riding along' rather than leaping off buildings
