I have an enduro 8 which seems like a good basic computer but I would like to get a new computer for my new bike. It would be nice to have a Garmin and a powermeter but that's beyond my budget right now. I wondered if anyone makes a computer that in addition to the basic functions (ride distance, avg speed, max speed, current speed, ride time), also shows heart rate and possibly cadence as well. Also what are the advantages/disadvantages of wired vs wireless systems? Thanks.

wireless=more expensive
wired= ugly but cheap
I think there's also the possibility of interference with other wireless computers if you're riding in a group, but I've never had problems.

Wireless is much, much neater in terms of on-bike appearance. In the course of riding, I've found that simpler computers without multiple lap times, splits, max cadence reports, dual-tripmeters, and all that stuff are much easier to use on-the-fly due to their larger and clearer display screens.
I've got a comprehensive CatEye Double Wireless cadence & speed that I find to be overkill. With my next computer I will revert to basic time, ride time, speed, average speed, maximum speed, tripmeter, odometer, and leave it at that. Punching lots of buttons gets old when one wants simple performance feedback. Larger characters are also nice for a quick glance downwards.
The Polar does wireless and cadence. Just spring for a Garmin. If you decide to do a Powertap later down the road, the same heart rate strap will work with both.
Which model polar would that be?
The CS200CAD does both. I had one.. I didnt really like it but the Polar heart rate stuff is great.
The CS200CAD seemed to drop speed signal whenever a car passed me or I went over 30 MPH down a hill.

Can you see both speed and cadence with the Delphi 4.0. I was looking at the Blackburns but got a Filzer dB 4LW-C from Performance. The Blackburn mount looks more rugged.

I have a Sigma 1660L, wireless speed and cadence. Works great and very affordable.

Yes...speed and cadence with the 4.0
You are right...this is the best mount I've ever had....no noise, movement... rattling, vibration. Very solid mount.
