Anyone taking the rail runner from Bernalillo or even Los Ranchos into ABQ? I'm worried about bike racks filling up. Should I be concerned?

Yes they fill up quite quickly, as do the bus racks. No one seems to say anything if they are full and you take your bike in the rail car with you -at least the 3 times I have been on it.

They say that bikes are allowed in the rail cars: http://www.nmrailrunner.com/handicap_access.asp

I ride past the Los Ranchos station pretty regularly. It seems to me that if the racks are full you could probably lock up to the parking lot side of the railing along the path where you wouldn't be in the way. I'm trying to remember now if it's welded steel railings or chain link - I was by there this evening, but I didn't have any reason to take note of it then. If I'm by there again this week I'll take a look at the locking possibilities.

I was mainly wondering about having room for my bike on the train coming from Bernalillo. I thought only two fit per car, but I guess it says up to twelve on that page. Thanks for the link.
