Hey all you MS 150er's! The big ride is almost here. This will be my 7th. The weather this year has been the worst in recent memory, I lost a couple of rides due to bad weather. Just was curious how everyone
else's training has went so far. Here's mine;

17 rides
684 miles
16.3 mph average
78 miles longest

Good luck to everybody and have fun!

Thanks to the rain on the Space Race, I lost all info on my training. And like a DumbA## I didn't write any of it down.

Good luck to you too, say high while your passing me :D

This is my first MS150. I wondered about the weather we have had for training. If it was sunny, warm, with moderate winds during the week, then for Saturday training rides it turned cool, cloudy, and had high winds. :( But I'd much rather have good MS150 weather and poor training weather than vice versa.

I had planned to slap the behind of every "BF" rider I passed, but now I guess I just ruined the surprise. :p :D

I'll report back with my miles tonight, after I get my 30 mile ride in this evening.

Have you seen what the weather is supposed to do for the weekend? Accuweather says warm with winds off the Gulf on Saturday. Strong winds, to boot. Ought to make for some fast riding on day one.

Been watching weather.com. Friday (the 13th) they had Sunday (4.22) at 60 percent chance of rain. Last I checked it was down to 30. They are saying the windspeed will be about 15mph for Saturday, and about 8 on Sunday.

Oh, and I look at the 10-day forecast starting with Katy. Then look at La Grange, Bastrop, and ATX.

As of this morning 1498.84 miles (since January 1st). Couldn't tell you any of the rest of the information (number of rides, longest, or average, etc.). All I can tell you is what I did yesterday - 52.25 miles, 20.6 mph ave...

Thoughts of a tailwind like last year make me very, very happy. All I could say this last Saturday was thank goodness we are not doing it today! A cold 25+ mph wind in the face all day would killed any enjoyment I would have received from the ride.

16 rides, 528.51 miles, 16.46 mph.

I had the same problem with losing riding days to the weather, plus I was travelling for work a lot more than usual. We'll see how it goes...

1358.5 miles training for the MS150. About 105 miles of that was in December, the rest has been in 2007.

Weather is looking like it will be pretty good. Don't worry about rain. I just bought a new cycling rain poncho, so it is certain not to rain.

You never refer to liquid sunshine, the wetstuff, etcetc by it's real name. If this was this was the Boy Scouts and it was campout coming up, you just jinxed it all.:D

The local truck forum I am on used the word filter (normally used for cuss words) to filter out certain wet words and replace them with "sunshine". It's awesome when people first realize it. :D
This came after close to an entire season of car club bash races were cancelled.

Murphy's law always trumps taboo words. Trust me on this. Buying and bringing the poncho is going to trump mentioning the wetstuff by name (notice I am now not calling it by name just to be doubly safe).:D

I just checked the forecast for Sat/Sun for Houston, LaGrange, and Austin. Wetstuff has been removed from Sunday's forecast. Don't underestimate the power of Murphy's Law. :)
