Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Weight results from Philly's "Lighten Up" weekend?

I know a few people who went out to Trophy Bikes on Walnut to have their bikes weighed and I saw loads of you at their other shop for the RELoad Race (which was sweet btw). So what were your results? Anyone surprised with what they got? Any absolute tanks out there? I think I saw a tandem that was 50lbs or so. I weighed mine Friday on Walnut for fun and got 15.64lbs. I weighed it again for points for the RELoad race on Liberties Walk and got 15.62.. I had swapped out the Deda 215 drop bars for the bullhorns that day.

Anyway. Just curious!

Eh. That's what their website says. My coworker who sits right next to me won the lightest road bike too. It's this custom-built Mondonico Monza steel frame (Columbus Nemo tubing) with carbon seat and chain stays and a full 10spd Campagnolo Chorus setup... ahh it's making my mouth water.

18.55lbs. Pretty good for a fully equipped steel road bike.

that's not really that light for a road bike. for a steel road bike, yes, but not for a road bike in general.

I was happy with my 19lbs for the panasonic.

22.81 for my Stella conversion. That includes front and back blinkies, frame pump, compass/bell and all the things an engineer would put on his bike (we're just nerdy).

I got 21.4 for an old steel conversion, I'm actually a little bummed, thought I would have come in under that, but I'm not exactly looking to have the lightest bike anyways.

I think I was 19.1 actually.

That's pretty damn heavy when you consider that my boss' steel Waterford has no carbon on it and it sits right around 16.5 lbs. No stupid light wheels (DT 240s to Velocity Aeroheads), no milled and drilled stuff, straight reliability.

matt brackens IF XS was beautiful. 16.2 with 25mm tires and a rideable (heavy) saddle.

I saw that Xenith at Trophy Bikes on Friday. I want it! 15.65lbs fully equipped. $5100 is pretty insane though. My Langster I paid $460 for is slightly lighter than that. No brakes or gears though..

I assume the 'no carbon' comment refers to the frameset, not fork or components. So... I'd guess it's a small frame for a small guy, S3 tubing, all Record, 300-ish gram fork, 28 or fewer spokes per wheel, maybe weighed without pedals and bottle cages?

Still, sub-17lb. is impressive for a steel bike.
