Introductions - Utah Man Sir

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I never did write a proper introduction. Short and sweet.
In February 2007 I decided that it was time to get back into shape. I've had this thought before, of course, and it's just never worked out well. This time I decided that I needed to do something that I actually liked, and the only exercise that I've ever done that I enjoyed was biking. The problem was that it's been over 15 years since I'd done much riding at all. My offices moved about a year ago, and are much closer to home. What used to be a 30 mile commute is now 12. I hadn't considered riding when I was 30 miles away, but 12 seemed to be a much better distance for the commute.
My first impressions were simple. I'm old and fat. But I'm doing it.
I ride the "Top of Utah" and have been really enjoying it.

Welcome! It's great to hear you're back on the bike. :)
Welcome to BF.
I'm old and fat.
Old? What's that?

m00n, you've been a busy poster! It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance at last :D .
Welcome to BF!

"Old" is a state of mind that somehow disappears after a month on a bike.
I'm generally riding between Ogden and Bountiful. I keep off the busy streets.

I'm feeling that! Welcome officially!

Yay for Utahns! Welcome, m00n! Where in Utah do you live?
"Layun" as we say here in Utah. :) Hey Shadiyah...congrats! Great video. Oh...and Indian food rocks. I'm with you there. Where's your favorite place to get great Indian food in Utah, other than at your house? There's nowhere near me, unfortunately.
So sorry to hear about Bhajan. I hope you're ok.

Bombay House is the best place for Indian food! Of course, we live right next to the Himalayan Kitchen which has some of the best Veggie Coconut Curry I've ever had! :D
My brother lives in "Layun". How do you like it out there? I love SLC!
Thanks for your kind thoughts. We are doing much better.

I love Bombay House. I don't get to SLC very often, so it's been a while since I've been there. If you're ever in Logan there's a wonderful place in the back of a Sinclair station. No kidding. I think it's called Indian Oven or Indian Kitchen. It's on 10th North and about 7th East. It's the best I've had in Utah.
I really like it here, but I stay about from the traffic mess that exists every minute of every day around the mall, etc. It's a nice area, I think. Sometimes I miss being close to things in SLC...like Curry in a Hurry. :)
