Anyone watching "Thank God You're Here" on NBC?
Throwing actors into a scene and having them improv their way through is a funny premise that works really well at times and is painful at other times. I think the really good parts are when vets of troops like Second City or the Groundlings get dumped into the scene, since they are trained for improv. I knew it was going to be bad when Jason Alexander was on last night. He can't act his way out of a paper bag (or out of his George character, at the least).
Still, worth several good laughs per show, so far.
Big bonus points to NBC for using the Hoodoo Gurus "Come Anytime" as the theme music. There's a band that should have hit it big in the States, but unfortunately never did.
