Found this interesting picture on some site. I say it took a big impact of the landing or a 18 wheeler drove over it. So what do you think went wrong?

No, it is an MTB wheel. Other thing that puzzles me is that rim broke in to somewhat even pieces, and not bent in any way. You can also see that sides of separation are straight, like they have been cut through.

I have not seen too many inverted mtb forks like that one! That rotor does look kind of big also.

looks like it went into a very big fall, or it mas have been run over by a truck. I am just guessing....
