Shiznaz is right. I do have to shut the shop down for six to seven weeks. It is terrible timing. I can take orders from those on the Forum up until April 30th. After that I might not get them made & shipped. I will be gone from May 3 until mid June. Sadly, it is not a cycling tour.

Whew. My bike should be in by the 19th, that gives me enough time to measure. I'd be bummed if I couldn't put an order in before my tour.

What's the advantage over something like the ESGE double leg which requires nothing more than a swipe of the foot?

I guess it won't void your Thorn bike warranty, plus it means you don't have a kick stand strapped to your bike if you're afraid of looking nerdy or having it rattle around. Its also lighter and probably cheaper, and could be used to hold up a tarp or for other uses. More work to use than a regular kickstand, but not really much more work.

I do have a question for people with double legged stands such as an Esage. Double legged stands don’t lean when parked on level ground, which is good for loaded bikes, but how well do they work on a slope? I’ve never seen, so I really would like to know.

IME, poorly. I had the ESGE on my franken-mtb (mtb with a rack and semi-slick tires) for a while, went back to a traditional kickstand. I may have over-cut it though, due to inexperience. (especially since I went from 1.5" tires back to 2" tires - much better for the lousy rear-heavy weight distribution on that bike)

I just bought a click-stand for my new LHT, and (at least with a quick test) it seems much better than the ESGE stand, and about a pound and a half lighter. The ESGE stand is HEAVY, and I am not a weight weenie, but it's over a pound and a half for something that you only use when not moving. The click-stand (touring/tandem model, sized for a 62cm bike) was only 104g on the kitchen scale, plus a few grams for the parking bands.

For those looking for LHT complete photos - I'll take them when my build is 100% finished. Bike rides great, still waiting for the fenders to show up at the LBS though.
