Great Lakes - "BFNIC" riders; a message about the HIPCYCLER BFNIC BEST-DRESSED AWARD

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Yes, once again I will be awarding a "Hipcycler Best-Dressed Award" to one lucky rider in your up-coming event.
I look forward to pictures being posted in this forum for my consideration for this most-prestigeous award.
After careful consideration I shall post the finalists, then the winner, as I have done in the past.
Good luck riders!
(Post pix in this thread....and CyLowe is good with a camera, so someone else make sure to get a shot of him)
Yes!! Let the kit planning begin. Last Fall it was second and this year it's the top I dare aim for.
ah crap, i better make sure i can even go. later.

But I have NOTHING TO WEAR!
^^ totally fun, but not as sad as my first thought: a fashion show for the wife who is very fashion aware!
seriously though, i am torn. i have two options really, both are daring and very different. what is a guy to do?

remember, this is a "classic and Vintage" ride, keep that in mind as you plan your kit. (can anyone say WOOL?)

This is making me itchy just reading it.
I'm not going to nominate myself for any fashion awards, unless I can somehow find an old pair of Mapei bibs, a Festina jersey, and some Domina Vacanze zebra-stripe armwarmers by Saturday.
Those would go well with Hip's worst nightmare:

OK.....lets set the record straight.
A) Someone else can nominate you too, so you're not safe CyLowe
B) DeKalb is a former winner, no?
C) Anyone with cartoon socks shall be mocked, scorned, put to death.
D) Since this is a 'vintage' ride, I should clarify that vintage clothing is NOT required. It may be considered in my judging if a rider attempted a 'theme' kit, however, this is a 'best-dressed' award....not best vintage kit.
E) Anyone with cartoon socks shall be mocked, scorned, put to death.

Oscar's a living breathing Grouch, and a surly one at that. Not a cartoon.
So I guess points C) and E) will not apply.
Awesome.

I'd like to go really old school with this, but I don't have one and they are hard to find.

I will probably go semi-old school with this one. Hopefully DrPete won't stroke-out if he sees the picture of it. (Disclaimer - That IS NOT my carpet.)
