Ok, now I don't do huge drops, but to me the guys on these things are taking it to a different level...

Most I've done is about a 6ft, and that was with suspension, there's no suspension on these guys rides. Just thought I'd share what I found in my bordom at work

If they would stick a windsurfing sail on these boards they could really get speed & air.

You do realize they are on a dh mountain...I doubt you could get much more speed. These things were designed for snowboarders to train all summer :)

they have suspension.

the same suspension that bmx kids use, their legs.

that's like 24 inches of travel!

We had these boards back in the mid-80's with phematic (sp?) tires that we used to practiced our windsurfing with in the winter. No moutains around! We also used long skateboard with sails in stadium parking lot. I learned alot of trick sail moves this way because the board always stay on a plane.

Me too! We used some oversized boards with 10" wheels and skateboard trucks with an extra long axle welded on.

Empty parking lots were a blast! If there was any type of wind, we'd rig the 4.1 m2 sail and would have a hoot of a time flicking duck jibes around!

Those things were a blast!
