TDF pre race events

I am heading to Europe on vacation in second half of june and wondered if there were any pre TDF events worth catching.

There's the Dauphine Libere 10 - 17 June, the 16th-24th is the tour of Switzerland for the Pro tour, have a look at WWW.UCI.CH for a list of European tour events, there's plenty to chose from.
Basically they're all worth catching :)

I can highly recommend the Dauphiné this year. Try the 4th stage on 14th June Hauterives - Montventoux . If you're trying to find a camping site, there's an excellent one close to the top (can't remember the name), when you drive from Malaucene. The nice thing is, the riders will climb the Ventoux from the south side, so the other side of the hill. From the camping site, you just drive (or ride your bike) 4 kms (or 2.5 miles to the top) and watch the finish up there.
