I was in a small accident a few weeks back...luckily I and my bike both fared very well....in the crash my bars got spun one way and my frame went the other...I was able to force my bars back into place after the crash...

since then I have loosened my stem and bars and put them back into what I thought was alignment...but riding the other day, i took my hands off the bars for a second and the bike kept lurching to the left hard...I had to work to keep it straight....is this just simply an alignment issue or something that I would need to take into the bike shop?

thanks in adavance

Sounds like your front fork (or maybe the rear triangle) is bent. Wheel is true and the tire is still mounted and bead seated correctly, too? If you have horizontal rear dropouts make sure your rear wheel is inserted correctly. If they're vertical that's an easy way to check the rear triangle alignment. But my money's on the front fork. LBS should be able to check it if you can't eyeball it.

yea i feared maybe there was some unseen fork damage during the accident...maybe I will swing by the shop and have it onced over....I did recently unmount both tires and tighten them back in...I have horizontal drops in the back...maybe I did seat that tire wrong...thanks for the suggestions...gives me something to look at aleast to try and figure this out without taking it to the shop
