Well this is pretty crappy exposure for everyone involved. Although it is stated it in the article I do not think I would consider this a riot.

I was not involved or have ever been involved in this ride, but it seems both groups may not be innocent. If the police did the things that are stated then I am very disappointed. If the cyclist did not follow the rules of the road were not safe then I am very disappointed. I expect respect from drivers, but I had better follow the rules of the road and also give them the respect they deserve. It seems to be it's a good case of "Treat others the way you wish to be treated".
I hope this bad publicity does not cause drivers to lash out at anyone on a bike. I was actually impressed with how considerate people in this area were to cyclist. If I was back in Indiana I would probably of already had things thrown at me. I sure hope that doesn't change.
