Mountain Biking - Wallowing in the mud of life. Or, Moab rocks.

Mix one cool campsite. One of most mellow ass dogs I've ever seen in my life; until he sees folks getting ready to ride. One Moab riding virgin. You get one good old time.
Who the hell tags a building in the middle of nowhere?

The scrubmobile gained a tad bit more much needed frontal clearance this trip.

After as much riding as we crammed into five days there, I'm really, really tired and sore today. Meh. Laundry/grocery shopping/car and house cleaning is entailing today anyhow. Back to two wheeled pursuits tomorrow before work.

Good stuff. I'm not an IPA fan at all, and much prefer Black Butte Porter from Deschutes. But that particular riding buddies truck (with attached beer cooler) was the one at the bottom of Portal, so I made do. :D
My car = loaded with porters, stouts, scotch ales, and brwon ales. His truck = loaded with IPA and the like. It works.

It works.I'm the same way - - Black Butte, Obsidian Stout, Buzzsaw Brown or Rogue Dead Guy. My son is the hop-head of the bunch. Inversion is the only IPA that I actuially found myself liking - -but I've gotta be real hot and wrung out to enjoy it.

I'm digging the cool dog who visited for one of the pictures! What could be more fun than a strong dog who runs alongside for these wilderness expeditions?!

Wilderness? Around Moab? Hee! That's funny!
Aside: the dog is Named Randall, and he kicks ass.

Good stuff. It has me salivating for next week, big time.
I especially like the touron traffic jam shot on Slickrock. That's a fun climb, when it's not clogged with people walking. That must have felt like riding in NYC compared to your other "off the beaten track" routes.
Yep. We did a short/oddball out and back on slickrock, then went out to play in Tusher with Tim. I'll assume you'll be meeting up with him while out? New stuff is very, very good.

...we might do Amasa/Pothole/Rockstacker/Jackson instead and then roll into Fruita Thursday afternoon.
Certainly not what I'd call a bad ride. Still not sure if we'll make it out for the Fest or not. A work in progress.
