Anybody use these on there road bike. Nashbar has a very good price on them and was wondering how people like the bend on the top bar?

I have purchased these bars from Nashbar at the sale price and all I have to say is that they are the most comfortable positioning bar I have ever tried. One thing thought you have to get a longer stem to compensate for the 6 degree sweep. I like the fact that the hood part of the bar is level rather than on a incline postition because it is a more natural feel for the hand placement. Also you have more clearance for your hands while standing up on the hood area when sprinting. I love these bars. rwun

My LBS just got the Biomax bars in. I haven't actually tried them, but I sat on the bike, amd liked the feel. I plan on putting them on one of my bikes. Really nice bar, will have to put some miles on it to see if I wind up liking it better than my Salsa Poco.

I like mine. The reach and drop of the Biomax bars suit my small hands.

I have some on order, should be here any day now. I am getting the biomax 2. They have a slightly different shape than the biomax 1.

I really like my BiomaxII as well...

And another thumbs-up for the BioMax! Very nice bars, if you like the ergonomic bends and the not too shallow drop.

Is your stem compatible?

Take into account the much shallower drop on the BiomaxII compared with the Biomax...

Yea, I've got a pair. I like them, but they run a bit narrow. I think that their 44 is actually a 42.

yeah for narrow bars for skinny guys! I ordered a set earlier; especially after I emailed a couple questions and got a reply 2 hours later. Talk about customer service.

here's the reply from ritchey if you too were confused by the fact there seems to be two different biomax pro handlebars:

The 25.8 and 26.0 are actually the same diameter, the 25.8 is just a
different way to measure the tolerances in the same OD.
the older BioMax, which is no longer available, had a 144 drop and a
82mm reach with no flair. The BioMax II bar has a shallow drop of 133mm and 72mm reach and does have the 3-degree flair in the drops (for forearm room).

Apparently they aren't available in 46cm.
