OK, the wife and I are going to South Haven for the weekend and would like a couple of suggestions. PLanned activities include riding north to Holland perhaps and stopping by an old Great Lakes Steamer I've seen up that way, beached. Other than that......food, things to do, all are open to suggestion!:D

Tom. The state of Michigan has a very helpful on line tourist info site. Might try it. Just click in the city in question and go from there. Grand Rapids has been really thriving. Click on all the tabs for attractions, historic sites, entertainment- the site can be very helpful. I particularily like some of the cruises out onto the lake, might be a little early tho. Being spring has just sprung.

so tom. What do you think. Find the kind of activities you are interested in other than cycling. I used to like to hang out at oval beach. In the summer, it is somewhat warmer; due to the effluent of the power station going into Lake Michigan. I like exploring some of my favorite Michigan wineries. But, my favorite is up on the Leelanau Peninsula.
Another obsession I have; island hopping. Been to some of the Great Lakes major islands.
Beaver Island, Mackinac Island, Manitou Island, and Pelee Island. Yet, to make it to Isle Royale.
Lots of people love to go tear up the sand dunes on the dune rides. Think they have one at South Haven.
Meijer's Garden's is pretty special.
