I missed it last year and was planning on it this year; work permitting, of course. It would be cool to have the DVP all to ourselves!
What's the date this year?
We got a team of 15 or so, doing all three levels. It's great fun. One chance in a year to ride the freeways. My recommendation is to pay the upfront cash to do the 75km ride, which avoids the throngs at the start.
Its June 3rd. I'll be doing the 50/75k. I've never done over 60k in a single day, let alone a single ride, so it'll be fun.
Myself and a few riders from my club will be doing it as well........if you've never done this ride before it's a real experience,........there is nothing like riding up the DVP without the hum of cars....its an eerie quiet. Let's just hope there isn't any construction ;)
Wussies... just do the ride for karen.
I'm doing the 75. I've never done the ride before, but have always wanted to. I'm all excited.
I am considering taking part of it.
I'm participating for the 2nd year in a row. Hopefully, we'll have nice weather. The scenery is very nice from this highway !
75 km if I can drag jr. out of bed that early. We've done the 50 km 3 years in row. 75 km will be my lifetime distance record, but the 50 km was no trouble last year.
It's a relatively easy 75km. No major hills, although the one up to Eglington (on the way DOWN the DVP) feels pretty major the second time around.
Good luck everybody.

Oh my God. I just checked the route map. I thought the extra 25 km were on the lower course, but we have to do Bloor to York Mills twice? Ghaaah!!
I did the 75k, I felt it a LOT more than I thought I would. I was kinda sick, and had done a ride out to Cambridge the previous weekend so perhaps that played a part - but I think the steady hills and my refusal to go 'slow' made my legs get a good burn on :)
First time for me, felt great to ride it. Felt awesome to ride in the peleton packs for a bit, too - I wasn't fast enough to keep up with any one group consistently, but I picked them up as they came by me. Hit 37.9mph/60.9km/h on the way down from the Gardiner to the DVP, one hell of a hill + peleton draft :) There's a lot of good speed on that highway though.
