I skipped work on Friday (the day after my 51st birthday) and went for a ride. I was going to do 51 miles. I ended up doing 67 miles. Legs hurt like heck, but feels great.

Hope they did not miss you at work.... and glad you could keep the riding season going with your birthday ride. Since it was the day after makes sense that you would go further............peace

Good for you! For me a great day is riding further than you expect you will. Sounds like you had a great one. :)

I DID have a great day. All the guys at work think I have lost my mind. In reality I think they are invious. This is the longest ride I have taken since I was about 16. It was the best day of my life. I need to do this more often than just on my Birthday.
I love my Sun EZ-Sport!!!

I suggest that everyone take a vacation day on their birthday. It's only Right!

I actually did work for a company that your birthday was part of the holiday schedule. Kinda cool! :p

I love my sun EZ. It's just cool enough to get the "cool bike" statements form people I pass and it's a lot of fun to ride. Also, the EZ-Sport looks a lot like the stingray I had when I was 12.

Gew0419,

Thanks for the inspiration. Memorial day is my 60th, so today, on the Memorial weekend, I set out to ride 60 and finished with 71. I have a lot of 7.5 mile legs of my daily 15 mile commute, but nothing long. This is a great start to the season and a super boost after doing almost no riding last year. Thanks again.

Congratulations. Sounds like a great ride. I'm ready to get out on some long distance rides, now that my son has graduated.

Way to go! Those bents are sure comfortable for long rides! I love mine! Like going downhill with a tailwind! Heh!
