Bicycle Mechanics - Gadget Needed................

I carry a 'Tire Bead Jack' (http://harriscyclery.net/itemlist.cfm?category=176&catalogId=39) in my handlebar bag but would like to mount it on the frame.

Any suggestions?

Why would you want to?

If you ever change a tire with one you will understand. It is soooooo much easier to get the tire on when using one. In a group ride people will wait for me to come along just to use it.

I'm considering losing the handlebar bag.

Here's the gadget you ned. It performs the same task as the Tire Bead Jack but it'll fit in your seat bag.

Two ball bungee cords will fix you up. Just wrap it around a tube and whatever you want to strap on your bike frame. A 25 pack of 9" ball bungee cords is $10 at Northern tool and equipment. Note how one is holding the other 24 together in the picture.

+1 Works for my zefal mini pump on my mountainbike.

Electrical tape with one end folded over to make a pull tab so you can get it off quickly. If you can't get it to stick again, just put it in your pocket for the rest of that ride. This is what I do with CO2, Gels, mini-pumps and other junk I want easy access too. It works really well. I have found velcro straps to be unreliable. Haven't tried the bungee's.

The handle of that jack looks round enough. Get a couple of the spring clip use to hold brooms onto wall racks. Drill holes in the flat center of the clips and bolt them in place of one water bottle cage. Then backup with a velcro strap. Works like the holder I got with my Topeak Road Morph which went on the downtube in the fuel bottle position.

Another suggestion would be to use a mini pump bracket to hold it onto the frame.
