Just rolled in the door. 1600 miles of driving in 3 days through IN, KY, TN, and VA. Rode the bike 2 - 3 hours per day. Spent 3 hours riding around Bloomington, IN checking out the sites and the preparations for the Little 500 bike race which was this weekend. Then headed down to KY and TN where the roads were just super, after which we drove east to coal country in the Appalachian Mtns where we got lost right around sunset, and encorporated the local police to help us find our way out. (That experience had "Deliverance" written all over it :( ). We then drove up Black Mountain in Kentucky right at sunset (highest point in KY ) ... OMG! Nobody rides their bike up that do they? Grades of 20% with sheer drop offs that really had me nervous (while in the car!) Set some new personal records: I actually walked my bike up some climbs for the first time in the last 15 years (which answers my own question if a 38x24 is enough for riding those roads ... NO! ), I got chased by a dog 5 times in one day, and my friend got chased by 6 dogs at the same time !!

Had a blast, will put together a full write up with pics soon.
