So I picked up this new frame a few weeks ago cheap enough and I was trying to figure out how I should build it up. As much as I want to get a campy super record pista gruppo for it, the chances of that realistically happening and me not being in some ungodly amount of debt is unlikely. Of course, why not get some suggestions incase someone thinks of something I haven't. Pictures below. Frame has never been built up :D

Miche gruppo on Ambrosio rims? Keep it Italian, keep it (relatively) cheap?

Or just go for the new Record Pista, it wouldn't look too out of place.

gipiemme group?
yes.
for a reasonable build i'd probably go
headset: campy record
stem: cinelli track
bars: ttt
post: campy record aero (http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Campagnolo-light-alloy-seat-post-27-2_W0QQitemZ120112207774QQihZ002QQcategoryZ106952QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)
cranks: miche
bb: campy veloce
and finish it off with miche's pistard track wheels (that i can't find at a us retailer) which are < $300

miche would probably be the easiest (buy it all at once) and most cost effective...
quite partial to the cinelli alu track bars/stem combo though!

No clue what fork I'm going to use. Was thinking about a chrome fork, but also have a spare Cevelo carbon fiber fork I could use. Really would prefer something that fits the era, or at least looks it.
here's a question that might in some way be of importance:
what are you planning to do with the bike once its done?
everyday ride? weather conditions?
you could mix it up with quality components ...japanese,
italian, british, american, spanish ...whatever. although
i have heard that mixing japanese and italian parts leads
to catastrophic failure, e.g. explosions. so far i haven't
experienced any problems with mixing european parts.
