Hi all,

While researching for a road bike I found this Forum. Great site with lots of information. I will look forward to learning much from everyone.

Me? I am 55 and coming back to biking after 15 years away from the sport. I bought myself a Trek 1000 (63cm), put on a shorter stem, a water bottle and cage, and a pair of Look pedals, and I'm all set, for now.

Took my first ride today...7.5 miles at about 9.5 miles per hour....boy, am I out of shape!

Hello Steve, great to have you back into cycling! That 'being out of shape' won't last long. Next step is to start worrying about the fit of the saddle, though :D .

Welcome to BF!

For the welcome! Since buying the bike I am trying to ride 30 mins every other day. Am noticing improvement already. Still, I think I'm gonna need a new saddle!
