Southern California - So Cal BF Bike Maintenance Soiree

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Seriously, let's get together (those who want/need to) and go over basic bike maintenance. Bob did me a real favor yesterday (even if I whined a little when he pointed out dings and scratches on my bike and the fact that I need better wheels) by going over simple bike cleaning! I'd love to learn more with people whom I know I can trust (have ridden with and respect). Clearly, I won't be hosting in my little one bedroom apartment, but I'd gladly bake some goodies and bring some liquid refreshments for anyone who does host. So, who has a garage and set-up for this type of thing and would like to have folks over? Anyone? And if you volunteer, obviously I would work with your schedule to get a date on the calendar. :D

I dunno about a soiree.
I'd go if it were a shindig. Or a bacchanal. Or even a hootenanny. :D

Welcome to So Cal, Ron. My name is M.E. and I'm the biggest offender of derailing otherwise puritan threads into sleeze-filled, X rated, gutter traps. For once, I try to keep it clean and I'm getting a taste of my own medicine (which doesn't taste all that bad actually :p ). We're a lively bunch, we So Calers.
Now, people, GET IT BACK ON TRACK! We're scaring the northerners! :D

Actually, do you ever wonder why I spend so much time in here? It's because so many threads do go in the gutter, and it provides massive amounts of entertainment ... never mind the fact that I was a SoCal'er for about 30 years ... ooops ... God I'm old! Where's my cane!?
You're not scaring northerners ... you're adding to our already demented mind ... God I miss Dr. Demento!

My garage is messy and full of junk. There's hardly enough space for myself when I work on my bike. Therefore, I can't offer my garage space.
But I can offer to bring a repair stand, some tools, and an inflatable mattress.
