I got a white KMC z chain off ebay and i took it out to look at it and after i was done handling it I had small chips of white paint on my hands. Has anyone used a colored KMC chain? Do all those paint chips end up all over your chain ring, crank, etc?

no I use nothing but the colored z chains because they are cheap and they work fine

A white chain? Isn't it going to be grime colored a mile out the door anyway?

The flakes you got on your hands may have been because they didn't clean the chain well enough after coloring / before packaging it.

I just got a white one last week and its been great, and the white forces you to clean it like errry day
