Bicycle Mechanics - Sigma BC1600 + Cadence

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I have a 2 year old Sigma BC1600 wired computer and have purchased a cadence kit to add cadence to it. It didn't come with any installation instructions, nor can I find any. I have a newer Sigma computer with cadence and you have to switch the cadence on in the setup.
Apparently you don't have to switch cadence on with the 1600 because the manual that I found on their site doesn't say so. Anyway, there are two leads coming out of the comuter and two leads on the cadence harness.
Are they directional? Does it matter which goes on which lead?

I just installed it and there were no references to any particular wiring of the cadence cable to the computer head unit, that is for a BC1600 that I had laying around. The cadence kit has the installation printed on the inside of the cardboard packaging (ie the plastic bag containing the parts were stapled to a cardboard packaging display holder, does that make sense?) I did not have to turn on the cadence for it to work either, just traverse the menus until I got to cadence display.
