Triathlon - Mavic Wintech

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I picked up a Mavic Wintech last week and it is hands down my favorite computer ever. Forget wires, obnoxious fork mounts and one of those aerobar computer knobs. The Wintech has worked flawlessly, looks great and was easy to install. It's a little more than most computers, I paid about $65 but considering other wireless computers cost around $40-50 it was no question for me.
It mounts running along my aerobar, with my forearm just to the outside of it, where I normally mount my computers sideways.

I have one too. Having the sensor built into the skewer is a very good alternative to having an ugly fork mounted sensor that is prone to slippage. I mount my computer on my aerobar too.
As good as it is, I have a couple of comments about the unit:
1. I wish the computer were a little more compact. It's a bit bulky.
2. The buttons can sometimes stick. It may be due to sports drink spilling on it. I've tried to rinse it, but I've found that occassionally spraying a little WD-40 is more effective, although I don't know if its good for the rubber.
The bulk would bother me if it had to be placed anywhere else but it sits right where I want/need it and it's hidden by the upturn in my Sbend oh so well.
