My wife and 6 and 8 year old are doing the quarter century option. Please stop us (or slow down and ride with us a bit) and say hi. I'm betting we'll be the only family there with kids that short on their own road bikes.

My wife and I are riding the 100. 6 and 8 year olds on road bikes shouldn't be hard to miss. I plan on buying my 10 year old her first road bike this summer, should be fun. If we see you I'll slow down to say hello.

if you aren't starting at the back, you won't see us. :) I plan to hang near the back for the start just so they don't do something that would cause a problem.

But, if you do see us, please do say hi. I have yet to meet any fellow BFers and would love to have some faces to go with the handles.

Your 10 year old will likely LOVE the bike when she gets it. My 6 year old is WAY more into it than my 8 (and even than my wife for that matter).

Wish I could get my wife to want to do a century with me.......:(

Next Saturday, May 5, is Governor Sanford's Family Fitness Ride on the same route.

I'll be there for that one also. BUT, without the family in tow so I can actually do the full distance.

The GOV's ride is only 25 miles and is escorted and speed regulated.

Dan,

The Governor may only do 25, but the ride is 68. Attached is link to the course cue sheet.

Although, after that last turn, I'm not quite sure how to make it to the end.

Ride backwards, maybe????  :D
