I have an '04 Kona Stinky, and everytime I start to pedal the chain slips down to another gear on the rear cassette. how do I go about fixing this?

turn the barrel adjuster on either the shifter or the RD outwards. if that doesnt work youll have to readjust the cable.
might be other things too thouhg...stretched chain, worn cassette...
how old is the bike/chain/cassette??

The bike is an 04 model. I replaced the chain last year, but the cassette is the stock one on the bike and has not been replaced at all.

You want to TIGHTEN the cable, since pulling it moves the der to the larger cogs. Do it a little bit at a time, like 1/2 turn.

The cassette is suspect.
