Bike jousting has just been bought and sold

I just say an "easy mac" (instant macaroni and cheese for those who dont know) commercial where two guys bike joust for some grub. I havent found the commercial online yet. No tall bikes but it is only a matter of time.

Fortunately, tallbike construction/riding/jousting is an exclusive kind of activity. You have to be a little bit special just to get it, let alone do it. The worst admen can do is steal a morsel of color from the bike scene, since the scene itself is not commercial.

Yeah I've seen that commercial. It's soooo stupid.

I for one could really care less what coke/easy mac does or doesn't do commercials about espcially since there is virtually zero chance that tall bikes and/or jousting will become commercialized.

Maybe a few suburban kids will weld some bikes together instead of playing xbox or getting high. There's nothing wrong with some exposure to an activity that will get people outside, cause them to be creative, and perhaps even change the way they see the world. I know building my first tall bike did that for me.

im starting an underground scene who's main activity is to produce anti commercialism commercials that no one will ever see. so long as it an underground type thing, my anti commercialism commercials will not be commerial, so they wont be discredited by commercialism.

if the advertising industry ever gets wind of this and decides to make my anti commercialism commercials commercial by using them in their commercials, then commercialism will be making commercials advertsing my non commercial anti commercialism commercials.

and then i will say HA! and ill stick it to the man!

I neither condemn or condone the easy mac commercial, I just found it note worthy to mention when a fringe activity becomes mainstream. I hope it gets more people thinking about bikes in a less than traditional way, but my guess is it is only going to sell more mac than inspire people to build up freak bikes.

I will be the first to admit that I have never seen the commercial, as, um, I don't watch television.

It would be nice if more people were inspired to get out and ride bikes in the first place, and it would be a bonus if someone watching suddenly realised that 'Wow! That's cool--I need to make one of those' and was inspired by the commercial to make their own tallbike. It could happen, you never know.

i dont have cable and rarely watch any tv, so i havent seen it. i was goofin on the whole "its not cool once it goes mainstream/commercial" idea. im not saying anything bad about it, i think underground stuff is very cool.......wait a minute.....i liked metal......then the industry got hold of it.......and they handed back a girl band called "Poison"..........SCREW COMMERCIALISM!!!!!!!

these people are not selling bike culture, they are selling coke and kraft products. t
they are imitating bike culture to seem cool. you wouldnt say they were co-opting your language if they had slang in the comercial. and kick ass band have ben selling their souls to comercials for hundreds of years.
the worst i see coming from all of this is freekbiking will become a fad. that sucks, cuz there will be more ******bags in the scene, and then it will become unpopular.............................
