I'm not sure about what sort of hosting options there are, but has the bikeforums community every considered setting up a bike wiki?
Sticky posts are great but a wiki would help consolidate a lot of frequently asked questions and allow the experienced riders to share their knowledge.
A wiki is basicly a webpage based form that allows anyone to edit the contents, so anyone can share knowledge.
http://wikipedia.org is one of the more famous ones.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiki (wikipedia's page on what a wiki is)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
