Mountain - Plains - First Post, Hello Denver Metro Area...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Not another newbie poster, sorry, we all have to start sometime.
Just wanted to introduce myself and see if there are others out there with similar interests.
As you can tell by the handle my interest is in Mtn Biking, specifically single track riding.
I live in Littleton CO just off the C470 bike path at the Chatfield Res.
I am hoping to meet up with someone or a group to ride with.
I can offer a second vehicle so loops and up and backs are not the only choice.
Although I am new to this site and bike forums in general I am not new to Mtn Biking.
My first Mtn Bike is a Trek 830 antelope which I upgraded the drive train and brakes with the first generation of Shimano Deore XT components.
I still have and ride that bike.
I currently ride an 06 K2 Attack2 cough..Chinese made.. cough :-(. I am slowly replacing all of its components.
OK last item before this turns into a book. I am going to the Fruita Fat Tire Expo this Thurs thru Sunday (26th -29th)
Is anyone from the Denver Metro area going?
Thanks,
SingleTrackLov'r

Mountain bike????? Eeeeewwwwwwww! :p
Just kidding. :) There's lots of clubs that support mountain biking... I believe Team Evergreen has mountain bike rides every week. Personally, I ride a road bike, but last weekend I did 25 or 30 miles of single track with said road bike. Rode up on South Table Mesa just east of Golden. Boy did I get a lot of funny looks! :D

Welcome SingleTrackLov'r :)
I'm not to far from you actually. I live in Lakewood. I ride both road/mtb.
I won't be making it to the Fruita Fat Tire Expo but have a beer for me (well if that is if you drink) :)
I'm going to be gone (going to Paris on Saturday) so hopefully we could get a mtb bike group ride planned when I get back?? Until then have fun in Fruita!!
Oh check out MTBR too. :) They have a great bunch of locals on the front range. :)

Well I am in Colorado Springs, but share the same love of Mountain Biking!!! Go to I-70 /C-470... take 70 west to the morrison exit.. park in one of the parking lots named after dinosaures..... You will see a path that climbs the hill side..FUN TRAIL can't remeber the name now.. But it's close to you!! In summer I like Winter Park!
