Introductions - Hi from the eastern side of the Canadian Rockies!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hi,
I'm in Calgary, Alberta, Canada
I ride...wait for it... a Giant Revive semi-recumbent! I love this bike! Due to debilitating health issues, I had to give up cycling about fifteen years ago, (used to cycle into work every day in the summer - approx. ten miles each way.) I discovered this bike two years ago and haven't looked back. I am able to ride again! Yeehaw! This is a bike that's great for those who suffer with neck, back, shoulder, or wrist pain. Only appropriate for city riding, I haven't taken it 'long distance'...took it on a 30 kilometer ride last summer and it was great. It's heavier than your average 'good' bike, but I don't really mind the extra weight, my last bike's frame weighed about 8 pounds and it sat in the garage for fifteen years. This is one FUN ride, for anyone who has never ridden one, and a bit sceptical, take a spin, you may be surprised. Saraboo in Calgary

Hello Saraboo--there's at least one other BF member in Calgary, but I don't think that they ride a recumbent...

Stop by the Western Canada (http://www.bikeforums.net/forumdisplay.php?f=241) regional forum and say hello to the locals...

You've probably already found the Recumbent forum :) .

Welcome to BF!
