O.K.
I guess that I am the newbie of newbies. Since I have not even figured out how to race.
I got out of the Marines last year and Since I could no longer train for fight Al Quida I had to start training for some thing new. So I picked Triathlons and to make I long store short I hate masters work outs and running for me is boring. So my weekly training has gone from 8-10 hours on the bike to over 15.

I have been getting pretty good and would like to start racing, but cant seem to find any info in my area. Which is the peninsula of the San Francisco bay. I will be new to racing bicycles but not to racing. I have been racing motorcross for a while and know the importance of holding your line.

So basically any info to help me out would be great thanks

rgaldes: Check with the local bike shops. There should be at least one that caters to the racing crowd and can give you some ides where/when races are coming up in your area.

What type of workouts have you been doing to prepare yourself for racing?

rgaldes,

There are a great many racing clubs in the SF Bay area. I'm sure that all these clubs have websites you could visit. I'd suggest that you find clubs that have rides in your area and just ride as a guest . Shop around until you find a club that suits you.

Here are some clubs that I know of:

Alto Velo (my club)
Team Spine
Equipe Le Matin
Los Gatos Bike Racing Club
San Jose Bike CLub
Monta Vista Velo
Peninsula Velo

Good Luck!
