Folding Bikes - New Challenge Recumbent Folder

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Thanks for the link. But the folding Mistral won't be worth the asking price, and doesn't even approach the cool of this (http://www.fastfwd.nl/eng/deelbaar.php) or this (http://www.fastfwd.nl/images/kanteltrike_4.jpg).

Absolutely! Our own SesameCrunch has posted much about his Cruzbike conversion of a Downtube (using front wheel drive). I plan on doing the same soon.

Spambait is right .... Bram's bikes are original beauties:

Also note that costs are less than a high-end folder.

not just FWD. It is MBB too (moving bottom bracket). the whole forward crank swivels with the front wheel to turn. So no idlers and no twisted chain, and no clearance issues with the pedals and front wheels.

Where did you get the prices/costs for said separable lowracer?
Here is another recumbent folder: http://www.olafjohansson.com/monty/montypage.html (from http://www.python-lowracer.de/projects.html)

Bram used to have a web page with price list. You may have to contact him directly now.
Used to be you could buy both the separable low-racer plus the trike attachment for $2500US. Don't know how much shipping would be, but your overall total - for essentially two recumbents - will most likely be cheaper than any other European or Australian import.

Price is mentioned here: EU 1.2k

Some goods links by Javier. I like the minimalist Monty prototype, while the Flevo is a production bike with some unique features.

Bikes are beautiful, but here this is somehow supposed to be about folding bikes. Saw a comment at bikeportland.org with a link to this creation by biker Ron English who it was stated now works for Bike Friday.
That's the folder tie-in .... now the bike, which doesn't fold but is one of a kind and <9kg.
