Fifty Plus (50+) - Old Hammer Boy makes it to Florida, darn it

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I write this with mixed emotions. I'm happy and proud to have made it this far, but I see the end coming, and I'm already missing being on the road even though I have several hundred miles to go. Will I be able to survive life after my great adventure? Guess I'll have to!

One thing I've found about an adventure--it never curbs your appetite. You only want more.

Just turn around and start riding back!

Glad to hear that things continue to go well.

Bravo! It's been great getting those real time reports of your progress. Just gives us scale to how far you were going while we were sitting in offices.

I hate to see your trip end, too. It's been wonderful reading about it!

I am still envious. What a GLORIOUS thing to do. Wow.

Are you riding back? I mean, hey, just take a different route home.

Great accomplishment, keep going until you get to Key West and then hang out for a few weeks

Maybe when we all retire we should do this as a group. Could you imagine that. A group of 50 or so 60+ers riding across america. We'd be in the news for months. We'd all be famous. We'd make millions in endorsements. This could be bigger than the Million Man March.

Big Congrats Dean.
