After riding a Motobecane tandem for 30 years, we've finally decided that we like tandems and have bought a new Speedster. We won't have it for 3 or 4 weeks I guess, but we are pretty excited. We both ride singles a lot, but have been moving to more tandem rides the last couple of years as I have started to slow down and smell the roses more. We are really looking forward to a tandem that fits us well and won't scare the crap out of us at 50 mph downhill. Even though I ride centuries fairly easily on my single, I struggle to do metrics on the Motobecane. The comotion has the same dimensions as my Bianchi Xl Boron, the stoker cabin is 5 " longer and the Speedster is 15 lbs lighter. Phew!
