Damn you. I tried. I also tried riding my bike and doing some hops today. It really didn't feel good and I can't ride for a while. The impact kills my leg and my ankle feels like it's going to break in half.

Only riding transitions and doing crap tricks like abuabacas, fufanu's and tyre taps.

Eh, still a great frame. Better then the newer versions.
My friend is saving up for an Aitken S2i off DansComp for $199. Orange.
Those are definitely up in the running for one of the best frames of all time.

No. They were prone to cracking at the head tube junctions. Still a hell of alot better then a fit pro frame though. Fly is gay though IMO.

No way, fly sucks. Their tires and brake are the only things that are alright, their crank and grips are okay I suppose. Their frames seem shady, and they have some pretty stupid drop out design on the new frames coming out. I would only run the tires.

You do realized you said you thought most of their parts were ok. I would ride anything Fly they make good stuff. You can't tell me their cobra tube idea, and cranks are innovative and good. The Ruben tires are awesome from what i hear and tons of people are getting them as well. The only thing i wouldn't ride by Fly is their bars because they are all tiny and i'm hooked on big bars.

Tires, grips, crank, and brakes are hardly all their parts. That cobra tube is ****ing dumb, and the cranks aren't exactly all that inovative. It dosen't exactly take a genious to come up with that design. I also agree that the rueben tires kick ass and I plan on getting some, but thats about all I'd run from them.

It dosen't exactly take a genious to come up with that design. I also agree that the rueben tires kick ass and I plan on getting some, but thats about all I'd run from them. They have better design on their cranks then Odyssey. Wombolt's have that nice big ridge on the top that just screams 'ankle bite'. The cobra tube is awesome. You don't think it would be nice to not have to take off your wheel to change a flat, cause i sure do. They are plenty innovative, what other company thought about making two lengths in grips and selling them as one so you can choose? And which company made tires from a better material that tons of people swear by? Their pedals are awesome, just a little pricey. And their brakes are great too.
I'm not sucking up to Fly, but you can't tell me they suck. Sure some of their frames have had problems with cracking but if you don't like company's that have frames that are prone to crack you shouldn't ever get an S3, Hawk, Ivy, Eastern or any of those other frames that you hear people are having trouble with.

The crank design is not better at all. It's so simple, all it really does is eliminate one bolt. The wombolts have a hube flat surface on the front. I could hardly see how you'd hit your ankles, unless your ankles come up 8 inches from your foot. The tube is stupid, I've heard bad things about it, like that it leaves a weird flat spot in your tire, and that its not even much easyer to get on. People need to stop being ****ing lazy and learn to put a tube on. it's not that much work. You keep bringing up the tire thing... but I've said a couple times now that the tires are amazing, and I never said the brake, or grips were bad either. Making a longer grip is hardly innovative either. Also, I don't plan on every getting any of those frames you listed.

The cranks seem to be working with people, they look great and I think they are pretty innovative. No-one else is doing that. The wombolts look ugly with that cap and I see where Kinetic is coming from on the 'ankle biting' thing. I need to read some reviews on the tube to give an opinion on it but it seems a great idea, sometimes you may not have a socket or a spanner with you to take your wheel off and therefore things are made so much easier. I wouldn't say the grips are innovative but they are a good idea. Fly are a great company and I agree fully with kinetic on this one

They actually have racing bars that are chromoly that are big, like the Joey Bradford's which i think are chromo. And there's also Mike Day chromo race bars. But they aren't Slams.
Here's the Bradford's

Yeah, I just found the other site. The actual Fly bars are nice except the Pantera ones. And didn't Fly basically just copy the Wombolts but with just a little bit different design?

If you are doing no foot cans and tailwhips you could probably manage to get a nice ankle bite off the Wombolts. Not to bash on Odyssey but their wedge system has been known to break while i have heard no problems with Fly cranks. The tubes work well according to fly, and they would already be in production except for the fact that Fly can't get them produced for a decent price, so they are holding off until they can put them on the market at a more affordable price. You're a right about the grips, they may not be all the innovative but it was still a great idea to make lengths. And it was also a smart idea of them to make the grips gradually taper and get wider instead of having that huge bar end piece that looks, feels and is ugly.
The only thing i find stupid that fly does is make all those ugly colors on their parts, but everything they make is great.
And didn't Fly basically just copy the Wombolts but with just a little bit different design?
No. Fly had their prototypes first and they are both different. Fly has a standard side compression bolt and splines while Odyssey went with a wedge design.

Fuzzy you are very specific to what brand you like.
Yes, you're right, but besides a few bias's it's mostly becuase of experience, or things I've seen. And to kinetik, you could get the same ankle bike off pretty much any crank if your talking about that. I also haven't heard of any problems with the wedge, unless you are talking about how they split apart, in which case they are supposed to. The only reason the are together is for convenience.
