Ive got a friend needing to off one. Im considering buying it but am not that familiar with road bikes. It is a 1999 with RSX components. Are RSX components okay? What would be a fair price for it?

I had one as well, its a fine bike, very smooth ride and the reynolds 5252 frame is good stuff. 377 would be an OK price considering condition. RSX is good an durable a little heavy though. Good luck.

This is what I usually do. Unless I am familiar with the bike, I see if it is on eBay (or I try to find a rough equivalent). I then see what people are bidding on it. I get a good idea of what the going rate is, I add shipping, convenience, and that usually gives me a good idea of what I should pay for it. Of course, it is not an exact equasion, but I am more/less looking to get in the ballpark. Basically, I don't want to pay $350 for a bike that is going for $100 on eBay.
As far as your bike, there is more to it than what components it has on it. What brand/model road bike? What kind of condition is it in? Will it suit your needs/desires?
