BMX - Anyone here ride Scerbo Bars?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I like the way they look. Try going into the classic and vintage section and asking if anyone rode the old GT bars they were modeled after.

meh, i am not that concerned. I just didnt know if anyone here rocked them. I used my bike guide (EEEEWWW!) account to lurk some pictures. Somehow they always manage to ruin their bikes by ripping off their seat cover or something weird.

I was going to order a pair, but I dont think I can get them as narrow as my current ones are cut too. Plus I need a new fork before anything.
whats the big deal about them, i remember not to long ago when i first joined the forum 4pc bars werent such an uncommon thing and more companies then animal made them, except if i recall correctly it was mostly flatlanders that used them, i think theres even a few threads about them. I think its funny that back in those days you were an idiot if you bought 4 pc bars but now its the "in thing"

9th post - even I_Suck ran 4 pc bars
ps. its funny to read posts from when you first joined and wonder about whether its because you were younger and immature or because you were new that you sounded like such an idiot

i ran castillo bars back in the day. i loved how they looked. but unfortunately since they were 6.75 inches tall, and had not nearly enough sweep my wrists started crying. Not to mention they probably weighed as much as most forks do these days.
the bob bars are a good mixture of strength and supposedly feel really good with their sweep.
what do you mean by the "in thing" you mean that animal made another quality product that feels really good to a lot of people? I don't entirely beleive in trends, but maybe I just don't care enough to pay attention to dat snaazz. Honestly, who cares if ****s good.
not like everyone isn't running slams or a bar identical to them.
im just sayin, 4pc bars are gonna be the new slams, the next ugly trend in bmx
speaking of which, what do people think of those fly bars?

yeah man, i guess on the east coast they are the new slams. but the only people that have them around here are two of my friends, and they feel real good. sooooooo, we will see where they go. should be interesting. if they are the new slams, i'd laugh because they are really ****ing ugly. slams atleast look good if theyre not uncut.

Scerbos have been out forever- I doubt they are going to be the new "Slams". The only reason some people are buying them now is because Edwin switched from his signature bars to Scerbos.

Exactly, they are now the trend. Loads of people round here want them. They just can't afford them
