does anyone know if these have the ratcheting mech?
yes, if you mean the Suntour Power Ratchet thingy. I believe they licensed it from Suntour and they are made by DiaTech in Taiwan.

They're very nice. I wish something like this would become a sort of fad like fixed gear riding has experienced in the last few years, just because I'd like a whole new generation of riders to experience the awesomeness and simplicity. I've had Ultegra and XTR indexing, and I'd choose Shimano DT or barcons set in friction over them. The Silvers are even better, though.
