has anyone used these? do you like them? i need to build up a few bikes and while i need to do it sort of inexpensively i dont want them to end up like ****. pros and cons? suggest something better for under $50? i need two sets of black and one can be either black or silver or whatever (essentially i need three pairs). thanks in advance.

I would skip the FMF cranks, and go for something else cheaper. You can pick up used suginos on ebay for less than 75.

did you read what he's getting the FMF's for? ****, some of them are under $20!

if they're made for BMX they should be durable enough for your application. their job is only to hold your pedals and chainring while they spin around really fast, not like they have bearings or other mechanical parts to them. The only thing that could be crappy is the finish, so you may want them in silver? either way, I say go for it, let us know how they are.

I've been thinking about picking some of those up as well. Anyone know what size bb they need?

I have built up quite a few bikes with FMF cranks. Mostly ISIS but a few square taper when they still made em. I have had no problems or complaints from customers yet. I have put 2 messengers on em and they have been rocking em for at least 6 months with no problems to speak of. Good cranks for the $.
