I have a trek 7100, with a gripshifters. I was wondering if there
was an aerobar that would fit this bike? maybe where the bar ends would go?

I looked into this at one point, and there are some clip on types that will work, but you will have to fit them right at the stem. It will also help to change your shifters to the rapid shift type. I did not find any that would sit on the end of the bars.

I looked into it too for a 7100. I am going to put flat bars on mine so I can get down on the bars better.
If you want to get down more get a road bike like I am doing...

There are also control issues with aerobars, you are basically steering with your elbows and they are NOT recommended outside of TT racing, frankly, and unsafe in traffic. The also make the bike difficult to handle in a crosswind. Invest in a set of drops before aerobars. There will also be hardware issues swapping to drops though(Brake levers, shifters).

Last week my LBS showed me a picture of bar ends that basically added 'drops' curving down and under instead of curving up like traditional bar ends - they were pretty much for position only because no controls were changed. Don't know how well they would work.
