I saw a great thing while on a rails to trails path in Jacksonville, FL recently. I was moving along at about 15 mph, and here this guy in an arm powered bent blows right past me. I finally caught up to him at a rest stop. His legs were totally withered, but he had shoulders and biceps like a weight lifter's. He told me this is the highlight of his week, every week. He said he paid $2,600 for his custom machine, but it was worth every penny of it, because it gave him freedom of movement. Praise the Lord!

You mean a handcycle? Varna's main business is manufacturing those. Oh, and they also make the world's fastest bicycle, the Diablo.

Angletech Cycles (http://www.angletechcycles.com/bikes/specialneeds/index.htm) also has special-needs custom solutions. A different solution, although it probably won't work for your father, is an Irish Mail (http://www.champiot.com/).
