I just had a miserable interval session.
I was attempting to do 5-8 intervals of the following
15 second standing sprint followed by 15 seconds of 200% FTP
3 minutes of 100%FTP
10 seconds of 200+%
5-6 minutes rest
I struggled through the first two barely. After the first 30 seconds of the 3rd interval I was toast and just completely popped. I couldnt even soft pedal. I was pretty deflated.
After a few extra minutes of rest I decided to switch up to 8x2's at 130% but after the first minute of the first interval I was spent. So I just got off the bike defeated.
I feel pretty down after this. Ive completed these intervals fine just last week and yesterday was a total rest day. I hope Im not already overtrained. I was already planning to take tomorrow off and next week is supposed to be for tapering but I hate the idea of 9 easy/rest days in row.
I have two races next weekend, one of which I really want to do well in so this is comming at a bad time.
